|10/23/2013 || The Cross Country Team completed their season yesterday at Obion Central, competing in the Region 7 A-AA meet.
Caley Warrington led the girls with a time of 24:24, finishing 17th overall. That is the highest finish in the region for a Peabody girl runner. The top 10 advance to state. Great job Caley.
Karen Allen and Destiny Mayberry also ran and did a great job.
Dylan Grooms ran for the boys and ran a time of 23:14
The Cross Country team competed at Gibson County High School at McCurdy Sod Farm.
Caley Warrington led the girls with a time of 25:08. Karen Allen ran her best time of the year, improving by almost 3 minutes. Tyson Bartholowmew ran her best time of the year as well.
Dylan Grooms led the boys with a time of 20:45.
Sterling Proctor turned in his best time of the year.
The next meet will be at Obion Central in the Best of the West, Tuesday, October 15
The Cross Country team competed at Hardin County in Savannah.
Caley Warrington finished 6th overall – the highest we have ever had a girl finish in a XC meet. Caley received a medal and a t-shirt. Great job Caley!
Juanita Bryson turned in her best time of the year and Chloe Lawson and Karen Allen also ran well.
Dylan Grooms finished 19th overall and received a t-shirt.
Ian Collins, Casey Collins, Zac Haney and Jeffrey Reaves also ran and did a good job.
The next meet will be at Gibson County on Tuesday, October 8th.
|9/24/2013 || The Cross Country team competed at Trinity and had a great day running.
Caley Warrington posted a time of 24:16, her best time of the year, improving by 2 minutes and 4 seconds.
Dylan Grooms recorded his best ever time of 19:14, leading the boys. That is almost a minute over his best time of the year.
Ian Collins had a time of 22:10, improving his time over 3 minutes.
Jeffrey Reaves continues to improve his time in each event as well, running a 26:01…1 minute and 3 seconds better than his best time.
We will travel to Savannah on Thursday afternoon.
|9/18/2013 || The Cross Country team competed in the West Tennessee Fall Classic at Union University yesterday.
Caley Warrington led the girls with a time of 26:22, finishing 14th in the region.
Juanita Bryson improved her time by over 2 minutes.
Destiny Mayberry ran her first race of the year.
Dylan Grooms led the boys with a time of 21:20
Quenton Yarbrough, Ian Collins and Sterling Procter also competed.
Next week the X C team will have 2 meets, Tuesday at TCA and Thursday at Hardin County
|9/11/2013 || The Cross Country Team competed at Huntingdon yesterday. Every runner achieved their best times of the year.
Caley Warrington finished 17th overall out of over 100 girls with a time of 26:20. Caley finished 11th out of our region. Juanita Bryson also ran her best time of the year.
Dylan Grooms led the boys with a 24th overall finish, 19th in our region and a time of 20:49

The Cross Country Team competed at Crockett County yesterday with over 20 schools, 116 girls and 174 boys running.
Caley Warrington finished 24th overall with a time of 26:52, her best time of the year. To point out how impressive that is, Caley finished 15th out of girls in our region. The top 10 of the region advance to the State meet. Great job Caley!
Dylan Grooms led the boys with a time of 22:39.

Robert Rayburn had his career best time of 27:29 – 3 minutes better than his best ever time.

Sterling Proctor also ran for the boys.
No practice today, we will run tomorrow after school.
The next meet is next Tuesday at Huntingdon.
Peabody Cross Country hosted a meet yesterday involving 15 schools. Coach Allen and the cross country team want to thank the following students for helping during the race:

Caley Warrington was the leading runner for the girls team, finishing 16th overall, just one spot out of the medal group. Also running for the girls were Tyson Bartholomew Juanita Bryson, Chloe Lawson
Quenton Thompson led the boys team. Also running were Ian Collins, Dylan Grooms, Jeffery Reaves, Robert Rayburn, Casey Collins, Zac Haney, Sterling Proctor.
It was a very hot day and the runners did a great job competing under difficult conditions.
The next meet will be next Tuesday at Crockett County
|8/20/2013 ||The Peabody Cross Country team competed at Dresden in our first meet of the year.|
Caley Warrington led the girls with a time of 27:09, finishing 32nd overall out of 100 girls. Also competing were Juanita Bryson, Tyson Bartholomew, Madison Hampton, Paige Tucker, and Karen Allen
Dylan Grooms led the boys with a time of 21:07, finishing 31st overall out of 140 boys. Also competing for the boys were Quenton Thompson, Jeffrey Reaves, Casey Collins, Roderick Manierre, and Sterling Proctor.
